Overview

Job Title: Manufacturing Technician 

Job Location: Williamsport, PA 

This full-time position will be responsible for the assembly, test and evaluation of high-voltage power supplies. A successful candidate may expect to perform the  interconnecting and harnessing of wiring operations, as well as thru-hole and surface mount soldering of components.  In addition, they will install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting engineering staff members with troubleshooting (to component level) and repair of high-voltage power supplies.
  • Installing sub-assemblies into chassis, interconnecting and testing.
  • Troubleshooting, isolating, and repairing complex electronic systems.
  • Preparing thorough documentation on all work performed.
  • Perform final assembly test and environmental testing.

 

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of analog and digital theory.
  • Minimum 2 years of related electronics technical experience that includes knowledge of electronic test equipment and procedures and working knowledge of specialized test equipment.
  • A relevant Associate’s degree, comprehensive electronics training in a military or civilian technical school, or equivalent additional electronics lab or test operations experience is preferred.
  • Must be capable of safely working around high voltage over 600v through 10Kv; previous experience working with high voltage is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to pass J-STD solder certification.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are needed.
  • Good manual dexterity is necessary.
  • Requires the ability to use soldering irons, hot plates, UV curve systems, RTV dispensing, and strip wire tools.
  • Requires the ability to work in a fast-moving environment and coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information requiring a security clearance.
