Internal Job Title: Sr Specialist, RF/Wireless Engineering

Location: Torrance, CA

Salary Range: $96,000 - $150,000.00/yr DoE

Responsibilities

Stellant Systems Engineering is seeking a talented Sr RF Test Engineer at our Torrance, California location to provide operational support to our manufacturing and test areas and help maintain flow on the production floor. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Lead a group of half a dozen engineers
  • Coordinate activities in the Space traveling-wave tube  (TWT) and traveling-wave tube amplifier (TWTA) manufacturing and test areas, including
    • Assignment and configuration of production units
    • Test data review and disposition
    • Writing operating and handling procedures
    • Coordinating with supply chain
  • Provide training and guidance for hourly Test Technicians
  • Prepare test-readiness review packages for the Space TWTs (internal and for customer review)
  • Review customer specifications for Space TWTs
  • Write test instructions for production space fight hardware
  • Configure test software for production hardware
  • Disposition and troubleshoot production hardware; initiate and complete nonconformance reports
  • Review production routers
  • Organize and maintain test equipment
  • Review test data for trends and inaccuracies, select appropriate performance information from test data
  • Troubleshoot complex test issues, implements solutions
  • Troubleshoot test equipment and testing methodology as applicable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline and 6+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Computer proficiency is required, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to develop creative solutions to problems in a fast-paced environment
  • RF test experience highly desired
