Job Location: Torrance, CA

Salary: $130,000-$160,000/yr

As a Human Resources Business Partner at Stellant you will own and drive execution of the HR strategy and programs across multiple business units that will build capability and increase organizational effectiveness. You will be an influential and credible HR leader, advising business leaders and partnering with executives to align HR programs to achieve business objectives., The incumbent will be a key member of the HR leadership team and will report directly to the CHRO.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and partner with the business on how to evolve (org structure, role design, team effectiveness) to achieve strategic goals.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Stellant’s Collective Bargaining Agreement, liaising with union employees and union stewards as needed.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, performance management and disciplinary meetings.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on new hire offers, including conducting a thorough analysis of internal equity.
  • Identify and monitor critical HR metrics for business; analyze trends and predict future dynamics.
  • Ensure we have top talent in the most critical roles; Coach employees to grow and expand their personal impact.
  • Help business create plans to develop the next generation of leaders, execute talent reviews.
  • Identify talent issues before they impact the business.
  • Own quality of talent coming into the organization, play active part in interviewing and hiring decisions for key roles.
  • Deliver appropriate coaching and development feedback to managers and employees.
  • Execute HR projects and processes, connecting employees/leaders to appropriate experts within the business.
  • Ensure business understands the intent and adheres to HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage conflict resolution between employees and managers.
  • Analyze Employee Relations and exit interview feedback to predict and mitigate future issues.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in increasingly responsible Human Resources roles.
  • Proficiency with ADP WFN and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred experience working with large manufacturing hourly employee populations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Union and Labor Relations experience strongly preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience to include aerospace, defense, manufacturing and government contracting a plus.
  • Able to build effective trusted relationships by combining expertise in HR Operations with candid communications and an approachable, collaborative presence.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of core HR functions that drive organizational effectiveness.
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and get into the details.
  • Highly collaborative and proactive communicator.
  • Broad and deep knowledge employee relations, California and Federal employment laws.
