Overview

Job Title: Operations Supervisor 

Job Location: Williamsport, PA 

 

This position is responsible for managing our in-house machine shop, procurement of materials, components, supplies, and capital equipment. Oversees operation of all standard machines, including tool and die making, as well as general experimental machinery and recommending design changes in equipment and/or materials. Coordinates and executes machining services for other Stellant Divisions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees machines shops operations’ personnel (Tool Die Makers, Tool Die Machinists, Machine Operators, and Machinists)
  • Coordinates machining services in support of other Stellant Divisions
  • Recommends design changes in existing equipment, new equipment, materials, and procedures as needed
  • Ensures equipment and operations are performing at optimum levels
  • Supports Quality Control keeping cost-effectiveness in tact
  • Maintains raw-material inventories at optimum levels
  • Interacts and seeks input from Engineering and Manufacturing as on need basis
  • Keeps upper management fully informed on department status
  • Provides direction and training, as needed in all department activities
  • Conducts performance reviews

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years machine shop management experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years management experience
  • Solid communication skills, both verbally and written
