Overview

Job Title: Machine Shop Inventory Support

Job Location: Williamsport, PA 

To receive, record, package, store, issue, and inventory a wide variety of stock, including raw materials, work in process materials, and other supplies in an MRP (material requirements planning) closed stockroom.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all requests for parts and raw material are authorized and proper procedures followed.
  • Receive or issue and physically count or weigh count as required, parts, raw material, or supplies.
  • Cut and Complete Warehouse Transfers to issue Stellant Supplied Raw Material to Suppliers
  • Handle All Scrap Material Penn Recycling and also Low Grade Reclaim for Electrum or Reldan
  • Cut Raw and Issue Raw Material for Machine shop Work Orders
  • Handle All Demil Assemblies from Demil to packing for Reclaim
  • Sort and package parts or materials in predetermined quantities in accordance with prescribed procedures.
  • Store parts and raw materials in accordance with sound material handling procedures and ISO requirements.
  • Perform recurring or periodic physical inventory of all stock on hand parts and Raw Material.
  • Responsible for upholding 98% inventory accuracy on cycle counts.
  • Update inventory file in order to correct stock balance as needed.  Determine the cause of errors and report reason to supervisor.
  • Enter all receipts, issues, and adjustments into ERP.
  • Use computerized inventory file for information inquiry, how many parts are on hand, and where they are located.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner.
  • Follow all security and safety instructions.
  • Operate horizontal and vertical band saw to perform raw material issues and demil operations.
  • Operate metal shear and various hand tools to issue raw material.
  • When Inventory Management Duties are complete during down time Operate Punch Presses and  perform other machine shop machining operations.
  • Report to Machine Supervisor

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience working in MRP (material requirements planning), stock or inventory control operations.
  • Ability to operate a computer and LN knowledge preferred.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.
  • Clerical and mathematical courses helpful.
