Overview

Job Title: Associate RF Engineer 

Job Location: Melville, NY

Salary: $85,000-$105,000/yr 

 

Responsible for solving engineering problems in one or more phases of ongoing long term product development and test/manufacturing support. Involving the analysis, research, design, development, fabrication, and testing of devices or systems.

Responsibilities

  • Investigates and conducts studies on specifications and requirements of the project.
  • Performs original RF circuit design and analysis.
  • Supplies technical assistance and coordination to designers and staff assigned to the project.
  • Provides direction to the Engineering Technician and Associate Engineer while breadboarding, wiring, debugging and testing is being performed.
  • Designs and plans wiring layouts and schematics.
  • Plans tests to be conducted and arranges the test setup.
  • Checks performance of devices during tests and evaluates the results.
  • Provides technical assistance in the preparation of spare parts lists, special tools, test equipment and other engineering data.
  • Specifies the procurement of specialized components and test equipment.
  • Assists in preparation of bids and proposals.
  • Uses PC-based Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) programs of moderate complexity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Electrical engineering (BSEE) with 0 – 2 years of prior related experience or Associates degree and a minimum of 4 years’ experience; RF Microwave Engineering experience in design, development, analysis and investigation of electronic devices and systems required.
  • Knowledge of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) programs preferred.
  • Must be familiar:
  • Modeling and Simulating
  • Optimizing new conceptual circuits along with evaluating, testing, tuning, and modifying circuits to meet specifications
  • Amplifier design using both packaged components and bare die
  • Costpoint, ERP systems, Microsoft Office proficiency
