Overview

Job Title: Senior RF Engineer 

Job Location: Melville, NY (100% onsite)

Salary: $140,000-$175,000/yr DOE

Responsibilities

  • Investigates and conducts studies on specifications and requirements of the project.
  • Performs original RF circuit design and analysis.
  • Supplies technical assistance and coordination to designers and staff assigned to the project.
  • Provides directions to the Engineering Technician and Associate Engineer while breadboarding, wiring, debugging and testing are being performed.
  • Designs and plans, wiring layouts and schematics.
  • Plans tests to be conducted and arranges the test setup.
  • Checks performance of devices during tests and evaluates the results.
  • Provides technical assistance in the preparation of spare parts lists, special tools, test equipment and other engineering data.
  • Specifies the procurement of specialized components and test equipment.
  • May participate in field tests and other travel duties.
  • Assists in the preparation of bids and proposals.
  • Uses PC-based Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) programs of moderate complexity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Electrical engineering (BSEE) or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years prior experience or Master’s degree and a minimum of 4 years prior experience.
  • Knowledge of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) programs preferred.
  • 5+ years of RF Microwave Engineering experience in design, development, analysis and investigation of electronic devices and systems required.
  • Costpoint, ERP systems, Microsoft Office proficiency

Must be familiar:

    • Modeling and Simulating
    • Optimizing new conceptual circuits along with evaluating, testing, tuning, and modifying circuits to meet specifications
    • Amplifier design using both packaged components and bare die
