Job Title: Hybrid Program Finance Supervisor

Job Location: Torrance, CA 

Salary: $85,000-$100,000/yr DOE

 

We are currently seeking a Program Finance Supervisor to support the financial requirements of the business. In this position, you will oversee a group of analysts to develop, interpret, analyze, implement, maintain, and present financial plans and controls.  You'll also provide visibility on program status through planning and control activities which includes baseline budgeting, estimate at completion (EAC) preparation, and status reporting.  In this role you will also work closely with FP&A and accounting to develop forecasts, participate in the close process, and support audits. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing visibility regarding the current and forecasted status of program cost and schedules through in-depth qualitative/quantitative analysis of performance vs plan data 
  • Preparation of monthly sales, profit and cash plans. You will be responsible for presenting and communication of the financial status, challenges, and forecasts for the teams that you support 
  • Preparation of various reports, financial summaries, and related activities for Program Management 
  • Identification of problems and coordination with the program team to correct variances to ensure work is meeting program requirements and financial commitments 
  • Evaluation of assigned programs to ensure that cost and financial activities including cash milestones, are being met 
  • Preparation, coordination, and delivery of presentations to internal management and external customers 
  • Participation in new business proposals, as well as new program projections of sales, profit, and cash 
  • Share process improvement ideas with the Finance team 

Qualifications

  • You will need at least 2 years of general financial analysis experience (program cost control experience is a plus).  Other qualifications include: 
  • Ability to identify and establish relevant and timely criteria for to program management 
  • Experience in program financial management including but not limited to: cost forecasting, cost analysis, change management, and risk assessment is preferred 
  • Capability and flexibility to handle multiple tasks in restricted timeframes to support program and company goals 
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to develop and present management reports in verbal, written, and graphic formats 
  • A penchant for process improvement and problem solving 
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) 
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or finance is necessary; a master’s degree in business or financial management is desirable
