Overview

Job Title: Senior Buyer

Location: Remote

Salary: $95,000-$125,000/yr DOE

Responsibilities

  • Check and examine purchase requisitions assigned for proper descriptions of items, part numbers, specifications, etc., and place orders for same in accordance with established policies.
  • Establish sources of supply that will ensure reasonable pricing, dependable shipment and reliable quality.
  • Expedite, follow up and administer open purchase orders.
  • Maintain appropriate files on all orders in process.
  • Interview salespeople and vendors and refers descriptive literature to the department concerned.
  • Maintain necessary liaison between all departments within the Company and vendors to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Develop new sources of supply both for new and routine materials.
  • Coordinate and combine orders of different origins to take advantage of quantity prices.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in purchasing electronic and electromechanical parts, preferably in the RF Commercial Military industry
  • Costpoint, ERP systems, Microsoft Office proficiency
