Overview

Job Title: Industrial Electronics Electrican 

Job Location: Torrance, CA

Salary: $35.00-$48.00/hr DOE

Responsibilities

  • Typical duties and requirements are not meant to be all encompassing but a general framework of requirements/responsibilities for:
  • Works from blueprints, sketches, work orders, engineering and manufacturing specifications, manuals, oral and written instructions.
  • Performs periodic inspection of electrical systems, and production support equipment for maintenance requirements. Make special investigations to prevent breakdowns, operational failure or non-conformance with specifications.
  • Determines sequence and methods to use when repairing, assembling, installing and testing various systems and support equipment. Determines material requirements and prepares fabrications and processing requests as required.
  • Performs maintenance work for the repair, calibration, modification, or fabrication of various production/manufacturing equipment.
  • May conduct tests using standard and specially designed equipment to resolve minor design problems.
  • Performs chemical makeup and mixing of chemical solutions required to meet proper cleaning procedures as outlined in engineering or manufacturing specifications.
  • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on systems and other types of equipment as assigned or required.
  • May provide assistance to personnel in lower-related job classifications.
  • Performs incidental related duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • You will need at least five years of journey-level experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting (not residential or commercial).  Other qualifications that will enable you to do this job successfully include:
  • Requires a strong background in production and facilities equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Demonstrated ability to determine appropriate methods for installing, adjusting and maintaining advanced industrial systems, electronic controls (including programming of PLC’s, varible frequency drives, human machine interface, control loops, energy management systems, interlocks, numerically controlled machines, electron beam welders and other equipment of similar complexity), factory machinery and equipment is needed.
  • Proficiency in the use of electronic and electrical measuring instruments and other relevant tools and equipment is necessary.
  • The ability to work from blueprints, schematics, circuit diagrams, and verbal or written instructions is required.
  • Experience designing electrical and electronic circuits is preferred.
  • Familiarity with lasers is highly desirable.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information requiring a security clearance.
