Overview

Job Title: Material Mover

Job Location: Williamsport, PA 

 

Transport/distribute material (supplies, documentation, piece parts and/or work in process (WIP) assemblies within the facility as required to manufacture products within all product groups and work centers

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently transport/distribute material to and from all manufacturing and support departments   within the facility. 
  • Ensure material is secure during transport to prevent injury and/or damage.
  • Ensure documentation for each item is clear and complete before transporting on to the next department.  This includes routers, operator(s)/supervisor(s) initials and/or signatures as required.
  • Follow designated route map and schedule to meet facility needs.
  • Prepare materials for production per instructions from stockroom personnel.
  • Perform complete and accurate cycle counts of all stock materials as required annually.
  • Inbound all materials from the inspection department and transfer to correct stockroom location on a regular basis.
  • Support stockroom personnel as needed/directed by team lead with any additional tasks.
  • Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner.
  • Follow all security and safety instructions.

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate a computer.  Experience with Microsoft Office products is preferred.
  • Ability to work well with numbers and repetitive counting is required. 
  • Ability to follow work instructions for next process steps is required. 
  • Able to lift up to 40-50 pounds when required.
  • High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.
